How Do I Get More Money For My Property Damage?

In Georgia, there are two different types of claims that can be filed for an accident: property damage and personal injury.  You'll most likely be contacted by different insurance adjusters for each of these.

So, if you'd like to get more money for your wrecked car, there are two main ways to go.  You can either try getting them to pay for the repairs or having them pay for the salvage value of your vehicle.

In Georgia, you have the right to be compensated for any lost value (termed "diminished value") your car has after it's wrecked.  Make sure you get that, because it's your right, but most insurance companies don't exactly like to remind you of that.

Another way to get more money from your insurance company is that when you are asked about the repairs, make sure they use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts instead of aftermarket parts.  When you go to sell your car, OEM parts will increase the value of your car.

If you have been injured in an accident, contact our firm.
